Ready to move beyond a narrow compliance role and see how an AIFM really operates? GOTOfreedom is recruiting a Compliance & Governance Officer for a lean, senior Luxembourg alternative investment platform managing approximately €500m across real estate funds. You will work close to decision-makers and gain exposure across compliance, fund governance, AML/KYC and regulatory matters, without the layers of a large organisation. This is an opportunity for someone with 2-3 years of experience who wants broader responsibilities, greater ownership and a direct view of the investment fund lifecycle.

Your role

Your role
Working closely with the Conducting Officers, Chief Compliance Officer and fund administration team, you will help run the day-to-day compliance and governance framework:

  • Maintain compliance policies, procedures, registers and the annual compliance monitoring plan
  • Coordinate AML/KYC, investor due diligence, sanctions, PEP and adverse-media screening
  • Support regulatory reporting and interactions with the CSSF
  • Monitor conflicts of interest, compliance findings and remediation actions
  • Coordinate oversight and due diligence of delegated functions and service providers
  • Prepare Board and committee packs, minutes and resolutions
  • Maintain corporate records, entity registers, mandates, signatory powers and governance documentation
  • Support internal audits and follow up on recommendations
  • Monitor Luxembourg and EU regulatory developments and support impact assessments

Your profile

Your profile

  • 2-3 years’ experience in compliance, risk, corporate governance, fund administration or corporate services in Luxembourg or a comparable fund jurisdiction
  • Working knowledge of Luxembourg investment funds and the AIFM regulatory framework
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Compliance, Business or a related discipline
  • Fluent English, written and spoken
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with external service providers
  • Good command of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with real estate funds or illiquid alternatives is an advantage
  • Exposure to board packs, minutes, resolutions or other corporate secretarial work is valuable
  • French and/or German and familiarity with AML/KYC screening tools are additional advantages
  • Luxembourg-based, in-person position
