Ready to take Finance leadership beyond reporting? Our client, an international banking group, is looking for a Head of Finance Europe based in Luxembourg. With responsibility spanning multiple European jurisdictions, a team of 10+ professionals and direct exposure to senior management, this is a role for a Finance leader who wants to influence decisions, strengthen governance and drive change.
Your role
Reporting to the European CFO, you will take ownership of the European Finance function:
- Lead accounting, consolidation, statutory and management reporting across European entities
- Oversee corporate tax, VAT, financial controls and audit coordination
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, RechKredV and local GAAP requirements
- Support regulatory and prudential processes, including capital and liquidity reporting
- Advise executive management on financial performance, risks and strategic decisions
- Lead and develop your team while driving Finance transformation and automation

Your profile
Your profile
- Proven senior Finance leadership experience in banking or regulated financial services
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, RechKredV, financial reporting, consolidation and banking regulations
- Solid expertise in corporate tax, VAT, audit and internal controls
- Experience navigating complex, multi-entity European environments
- Strong people leadership, executive communication and decision-making skills
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent; ACA, ACCA or similar qualification preferred
- Fluent English and French; German is a strong advantage
- Senior Finance leadership experience in banking or regulated financial services
- Knowledge of IFRS
- Knowledge of RechKredV
