Looking to bring your Portfolio Management expertise into a broader investment oversight role? GOTOfreedom is partnering with a leading international private markets investment firm to recruit an AIFM Portfolio Management & Oversight Officer in Luxembourg.
Your role
As part of the Luxembourg AIFM team, your primary focus will be to oversee delegated functions of portfolio management, marketing, IT, compliance, risk, and valuation.
- Conduct due diligence on delegated portfolio managers and service providers.
- Perform hands-on testing to assess investment processes, controls and compliance.
- Identify and monitor risks to investors and investment portfolios.
- Oversee portfolio management activities to ensure alignment with fund objectives and performance targets.
- Review fund valuations and challenge potential inconsistencies.
- Contribute to AIFM governance, regulatory oversight and operational resilience initiatives, including DORA.
- Participate in fund governance activities, potentially including SICAR board responsibilities.
Your profile
- Experience in Portfolio Management, Investment Oversight, Alternative Investment Funds, or Big Four audit/advisory.
- Good understanding of portfolio management processes, investment strategies and the functioning of alternative investment funds.
- Familiarity with Private Equity, Luxembourg AIFM structures, investment risk and fund valuation.
- Ability to analyse investment-related information, identify potential risks and critically assess delegated activities.
- Knowledge of AIFM regulatory requirements, governance and delegated function oversight.
- Experience working with depositaries, fund administrators or investment management service providers is an advantage.
- CFA qualification or progress towards it would be an asset, but is not essential.
